SPJ/ONA Digital Media Training, September 12-13, 2013
The Society of Professional Journalists’ joined with our student group, the Online News Association/SPJ and the Cox Institute for two days of training in new media ethics, digital storytelling and mobile newsgathering. In addition to training sessions, the keynote session featured Louis Gump, a mobile industry thought leader, who shared his “10 Rules and 1 Law of Mobile Media.” Additionally, Grady’s Mark Johnson led a panel discussion on News Delivery: Form and Function. The panel included student Lindsey Cook, a recent AP-Google scholarship winner; Daphne Sashin, a producer for CNN’s iReport; and Zane Cochran, a Google Glass developer.
