Student and professional community journalists learned best practices for writing across platforms and covering politics during the Georgia Press Association’s J-School training Sept. 28-29.
The James M. Cox Jr. Institute for Journalism Innovation, Management, and Leadership hosted the GPA J-School training in partnership with the Georgia First Amendment Foundation, an organization that works to educate journalists on Georgia’s open records, open meetings and free speech laws.
Over the course of two days, student and professional journalists participated in workshops hosted by the GPA J-School faculty, which includes Greg Bluestein, Ken Foskett, Keith Herndon, Mark E. Johnson, Lori Johnston, Kendall Trammell and Jim Zachary.
