Keith Herndon, a visiting professor in the Grady College and faculty of the Cox Institute, produced the research for the Technology Association of Georgia’s 2016 State of the Industry: Technology in Georgia Report. The report was released March 17 at the Georgia Technology Summit at the Cobb Galleria.
Primary and secondary research for the report was conducted by Herndon’s consulting business, Internet Decisions, LLC, including the annual Technology Decision Makers Survey which polled more than 300 of Georgia’s technology executives about innovation in the state’s technology sector.
“Georgia continues to develop and attract significant technical talent and our access to investment capital has improved dramatically in recent years,” said Herndon, who has produced the report for the past six years. “The research shows that technology talent and capital combine to create a powerful job engine for Georgia, but we still have work to do to create a cohesive technology ecosystem that will raise Georgia’s profile as a place where innovation occurs.”
